The Gift Nook is in the main lobby of United General Medical Center in Sedro Woolley. It is volunteer run and carries a wide variety of items to help brighten the day of patients and visitors. The Gift Nook is open weekdays from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. All proceeds benefit the United General Auxiliary in their mission to support the hospital.
We are looking someone who can assist with cleaning displays, stocking shelves, and changing seasonal inventory. This is a great opportunity for students needing volunteer hours or looking to gain work experience. There is some flexibility in scheduling, and we can work with your availability.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in pricing, stocking and displaying merchandise in the Gift Nook
- Dusting and wiping down displays
- Changing seasonal inventory
- Vacuuming
Qualifications:
- Show a friendly, positive manner with individuals of all backgrounds
- Responsible and willingness to take initiative
- Must participate in required initial and updated training
- Able to complete a pre-assigned shift on a regularly assigned weekday
- Comfortable using a step ladder to clean and stock high shelves and displays
- Able to carry/lift boxes up to 10 lbs.
- Minimum age requirement is 17 years old
- Creativity, with an eye for displaying inventory and decor is a plus
