Looking for a way to help local families at the holidays? The Skagit Valley Herald Christmas Fund, which provides toys, books, hats, and food gift cards to thousands of children each year, could use help in the following areas this year:
Telephone/Office Help: Mid-November through Mid-December, Mon.-Fri., 10 am – 3 pm
- Process family registrations in computer
- Answer questions/ return phone calls
- English, Spanish, Russian, and Mixteco speakers needed
Toy Distribution: December 17-20, 2025 & Late Registration Dec. 22-23, 2025
3-hour shifts available: 9:30 am – 12:45 pm, and 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm
- Traffic: direct cars into drive-through parking spaces for gift bag receipt
- Greeters, English & Spanish/bilingual: Greet families, and use radio to communicate bag number to team inside warehouse
- Computer Help: Enter information into computer as families pick up their gift bags
- Runners: Get gift bags from warehouse and give to Elves to take to families outside
- Gift Bag Elf: Bring gift bags to families outside in cars
