Many people come across a time when they need an extra hand to move furniture around the house, assistance with packing and moving to a new place, or hauling things to storage or the dump. Seniors in our community have those needs too.
Join our MOVEment and be their helping hand!
Volunteers may assist with rearranging furniture to make a home more accessible; help get rid of items through a trip to the thrift store or a dump run; aid in packing, loading, and moving belongings to a new place of residence; and more. YOU choose what you are willing and comfortable doing.
This is a great opportunity for volunteer groups as well!
Location and Time Commitment: This volunteer opportunity is very flexible. We will work with your schedule and location preferences!

A little about our Volunteer Services Program :
Community Action’s Volunteer Services Program is one of the largest volunteer based programs in the area that meets one of the greatest needs by providing this population of individuals with dignity and a safe, healthy home.
Without volunteers these needs would not be met!
We are looking for community volunteers to provide direct services for elderly and disabled adults. These direct services include transportation, housekeeping, shopping, yard work, moving assistance, firewood chopping and stacking, minor home repair, meal preparation and more as we strive to help clients remain living independently in their own homes.
