Blanchard Mountain Trail Work Party (PNT Section 7)

March 22 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm PDT

Difficulty:  Easy
Length:  6 Hours
Spots Available:  No Limit
No prior experience is required for this project.
Volunteers must have a daypack, lunch and water.

 


PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Volunteers will join PNTA staff in a day of trail maintenance on the Samish Bay, Lily-Lizard, Larry Reed and Max’s Shortcut Trails. Participants will meet at the Samish Overlook at 9am and brush and logout these historic trails which form a popular loop hike on the PNT in the Chuckanut Range.

The project is rated “easy” and there will be fun tasks suitable for all abilities. There may be opportunities to use crosscut saws, go on a scouting hike while developing “trail eyes,” or do basic tread and drainage maintenance, if needed.
