The Hotline Advocate responds to calls and provides advocacy, safety planning, crisis intervention, and resource referrals to domestic violence and sexual assault victims by providing coverage on our 24 hour hotline. Advocates are expected to provide high quality, fair, culturally-relevant, and accessible support services to all callers. Advocates are also expected to complete and submit all required paperwork accurately and promptly, and maintain hotline program records/files, documentation, and data entry as needed.
The Hotline Advocate must complete 42 hour DV/SA Advocacy Core training (provided by agency) prior to taking shifts on the hotline.
Hotline Advocates respond to hotline calls from Thursday 5 pm to Monday 9 am via an agency cell phone. We ask for Hotline Advocates to sign up for 1 shift every other month, at a minimum.
