The Department of Natural Resources ANeMoNe program is currently seeking volunteers to be Site Guardians for our Fidalgo Bay monitoring site located just east of Anacortes. Site guardians visit the monitoring site once every other week and perform a quick bird survey, eelgrass survey, and check our water sensors for biofouling. Work is approximately two hours per visit.
We provide training and gear. In general, this work does not require background knowledge or experience but there is of course lots of opportunity to learn! Ability to walk through thick mud required!
