Join us to finish removing old fencing from Tope Ryan Conservation Area. We will be working along a previous planting project that was bordered with beaver fencing. Now that the plants are established it is time to remove the fencing. We will be rolling and piling the fencing for final removal. This event is for people ages 16 years and up.
What to expect: Removing wire fencing requires bending, kneeling, and use of hands and arm muscles to pull fencing and t-posts from the ground. We will be working outdoors in potentially cold and/or wet conditions so please bring several layers, including rain gear. Where we will be working is in a protected area and close to the vehicle parking area.
Supplies to bring: Long sleeved shirt and pants, warm layers, rain gear, sturdy footwear, water for the day, snacks and lunch, and a backpack/bag to keep your personal belongings in during the work day.
