Please join us for a day of planting native trees at our Minkler Lake Conservation Area. This part of the property is being restored from a Himalayan Blackberry monoculture, and we will plant native trees to convert the area back to native forest habitat.
What to Expect: We will walk a short distance from the parking area to the work area where we will plant potted trees. Volunteers may need to traverse steep slopes and uneven ground over the course of the day. Planting will require the use of shovels. All techniques and plant identification will be demonstrated at our site orientation and no prior experience is required.
What to bring: Long sleeved shirt and pants, warm layers, rain gear, sturdy footwear, water for the day, snacks and lunch, and a backpack/bag to keep your personal belongings in during the work day.
Parking Information: Parking for up to 10 vehicles in pullout and along road.
