Skagit River Bald Eagle Interpretive Center

Who We Are

The Skagit River Bald Eagle Interpretive Center (SRBEIC) is an educational facility located in Howard Miller Steelhead Park, Rockport, WA. Oversight for the SRBEIC is provided by the Board of Directors of the non-profit organization, Skagit River Bald Eagle Awareness Team (SRBEAT). Since 1997, the SRBEIC has been educating the public about, inspiring an appreciation for, and encouraging restoration of the unique and scenic Skagit River ecosystem, with an emphasis on migratory bald eagles, spawning salmon, and the health of the Skagit River. With the support of partners, volunteers, and staff the organization works to provide a platform for all ages to explore environmental conservation and be exposed to the beauty of the Upper Skagit Valley region.

What We Do

During the peak of eagle migration the Skagit River Bald Eagle Interpretive Center provides visitor information and a variety of program offerings including a Speaker Series, Guided Nature Hikes along the Skagit River, a K-12 School Program, and special group tours.
