Do you want to learn how a cafe and kitchen operate within a hospital? Volunteer with us and you can help provide a warm and friendly environment in the Coho Café. You will assist with basic duties in the café and dining room. The Coho Café provides nutrition for our patients, staff and guests. Help support this critical function within the hospital!


Primary Responsibilities:

Meet and greet patrons and provide them assistance in a friendly and positive manner Wipe down tables and straighten dining room Restock supplies including napkin dispensers, sanitation supplies and silverware Simple kitchen tasks including washing fruit and chopping vegetables Special projects of interest to be discussed with the Café Manager

At the hospital, we’re always looking for ways to care for our staff and patients and live music can be an important part of healing. If you are a musician or Music-thanatologist, have a portable, non-electronic instrument (harp and acoustic guitar work well) and want to share your gift with our hospital community, sign up to volunteer today!

The Gift Nook is in the main lobby of United General Medical Center in Sedro Woolley. It is volunteer run and carries a wide variety of items to help brighten the day of patients and visitors. The Gift Nook is open weekdays from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. All proceeds benefit the United General Auxiliary in their mission to support the hospital.

We are looking someone who can assist with cleaning displays, stocking shelves, and changing seasonal inventory. This is a great opportunity for students needing volunteer hours or looking to gain work experience. There is some flexibility in scheduling, and we can work with your availability.
