This volunteer position is for a annual event taking place at the Swinomish Casino and Lodge, WA Walton Event Center.
The Auction/ Gala Volunteer position provides essential support during the SDVSAS auction and may assist with auction preparation prior to the event. Tasks may include:
- Procurement assistance (present until Nov 2)
- Event preparation (Nov 1st)
- Day of event tasks (Nov 2nd)
- Can include: Raffle sellers, coat check, game station attendants, photographer, IT, Runner, Bid Recorder
- Clerical work, assisting with sponsorship/ thank you card mailing before and after the event
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be available Nov 2nd
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must be willing to follow directions given by supervisors
- Ability to represent the agency in a positive and professional manner
- Must read the Skagit DVSAS Auction Volunteer Packet
More about this position:This is a temporary, seasonal position providing support during the auction and preparation before the event as needed.
Location and Time Commitment: This position primarily supports the board and staff at the Skagit DVSAS auction at the Swinomish Casino and Lodge, WA Walton Event Center. Time commitment is 3 pm to 10 pm the day of the event, with possibility for more hours if the volunteer is assisting with the event preparation and procurement.
