Skagit Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services is seeking compassionate individuals to provide a wide range of volunteer services to support domestic violence and sexual assault survivors.
The General Support Volunteer assists Skagit DVSAS staff by performing clerical duties, assisting with custodial duties, and providing program support to advocates. The General Support Volunteer may also be asked to help with special projects; awareness events, fundraising, etc.
Qualifications:
- Must successfully complete background check
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must be willing to follow directions given by supervisors
- Must possess patience and tolerance
- Must maintain strict confidentiality of our clients and shelter
- Ability to handle the stress of crisis work and respond to many demands simultaneously
- Sensitivity and knowledge of the issues regarding domestic violence and sexual assault
- Ability to work with individuals from diverse economic, cultural and social backgrounds.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with community organizations.
