Be the voice that helps someone feel less alone.
Join our NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group as a peer support leader.
At NAMI Skagit, we believe that each volunteer
is a gift, and we're looking for compassionate volunteers to share
it. As a peer support group facilitator, you'll help lead our monthly NAMI
Connection Recovery Support Group — a safe, confidential space where people
living with mental health conditions come together to share, connect, and find
strength in one another.
What we’re looking for:
Someone living with a mental health condition who supports a safe space without judgment and believes in the power of shared experience, empathy, and peer connection, committed to confidentiality and respect for all participants.
What you'll help create:
A judgment-free space where members build better coping skills and discover inner strength and a community that embraces honesty, humor, and self-forgiveness as part of healing.
No professional experience required - just compassion, empathy, and passion for helping others. All volunteer leaders must be 18+ and will complete training, interviews, and background checks.
