Needs From: Skagit Volunteer Center

Duties:

Help clear dishes from tables after Senior Center noontime meal, wash dishes and assist in putting them away.

Requirements:

Clean and neat appearance, must be courteous to employees and participants in the meal program, have moderate physical ability to stand, walk and lift, must pass a background check, must have a valid Food Handler's Permit Card (reimbursement available).

Additional volunteer sites:

Anacortes Senior Center, Burlington Senior Center, Mount Vernon Senior Center

Deliver hot, noontime meals to seniors in the area. Each route takes approximately 2-3 hours and the schedule is flexible. If you enjoy helping out your community and putting a smile on the face of a senior than give us a call.  Mileage reimbursement is available.

As a Volunteer Kitchen/Dining Room Helper, a routine shift is up to 4 hours a day (usually 9:00am - 1:00pm), 1 day a week

Duties include:

Helping package food for hot home-delivered meal participants, assist in dishing up and portioning out meal components, preparation of the dining room, which includes place setting and clearing, and may assist in dish-washing if no dishwasher is present.
