The Skagit Valley Herald Christmas Fund, which provides toys, books, hats and food gifts cards to thousands of local children each year, could still use help in the following areas:
Telephone/Office Help: Mid-November through Mid-December, Mon.-Fri., 10 am – 3 pm
- Process family registrations in computer
- Answer questions/ return phone calls
- English, Spanish, Russian, and Mixteco speakers needed
Toy Distribution: December 13-16, 2023 & Late Registration Dec. 18-20, 2023
3-hour shifts available: 9:30 am – 12:30 pm, and 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm
- Traffic: direct cars into drive-through parking spaces for gift bag receipt
- Greeters, English & Spanish/bilingual: Greet families, and use radio to communicate bag number to team inside warehouse
- Computer Help: Enter information into computer as families pick up their gift bags
- Runners: Get gift bags from warehouse and give to Elves to take to families outside
- Gift Bag Elf: Bring gift bags to families outside in cars
