SDVSAS Volunteer Core Advocacy Training provides our volunteers with domestic violence and sexual assault training, required by the state, to provide victims and survivors services.

Requirements:
- Must successfully complete a background check.
- Must be able to commit to attending every training session.
- Must be willing to commit to volunteer for at least 6 months after the training.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Must be willing to follow directions given by supervisors.
- Must possess patience and tolerance.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality of our clients and shelter.
- Ability to handle the stress of crisis work and respond to many demands simultaneously.
- Ability to work with individuals from diverse economic, cultural and social backgrounds.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with community organizations.
