Who We Are
The Skagit Valley Herald Christmas Fund is a non-profit, charitable organization that has provided toys, books, and a holiday meal to needy children and their families in Skagit County for over 74 years.
Mission Statement: To provide assistance to Skagit County families in need with toys, stuffed animals, knit hats, and a holiday meal.
Volunteer Benefits: This is an opportunity to help others less fortunate to celebrate the holiday season. Your time and work with the Christmas Fund will show you the true meaning of Christmas. Volunteers aged 16 and up are welcome, under 16 only accompanied by parents.
What We Do
Toy Sorting - Santa needs your help sorting toys by gender and ages. Once the toys are sorted, we need volunteers to pack gift bags for the families. Hours are Monday - Friday from 9 am - 5 pm. mid-Nov. - mid-Dec. Call 360-419-7261 to volunteer.
Gift Distribution - It takes a lot of great volunteers to help give out gifts to more than 1,700 families! Distribution is in mid-Dec., working shifts 2-4 pm, 4-6 pm, or 6-8 pm.
